Vision

Looking forward to elevating the level of health and nursing services across all three levels (primary, tertiary, and secondary) to meet the needs of the community, additionally aligning the scientific and research endeavors with modern scientific advancements by selecting the best contemporary scientific methods for delivering proper information to students via distinguished faculty members who ensure that students gain practical experience through hands-on training in the department laboratories and government hospitals and health centers, under specialized nursing staff, to graduate scientific specialized Personnel with a strong professional background, where patient care remains the primary focus, furthermore, to provide the highest-quality services, develop both teaching and student personnel in scientific and cognitive fields, and expand scientific collaboration with relevant departments and institutions, achieving continuous, high-quality interaction and contribution.

Mission

The nursing department, since its establishment in 1997, has been working on preparing technical Personnel capable of practicing the nursing profession in measuring vital signs, administering treatments, conducting statistical analysis, and handling all related preparations and supplies in hospitals, health centers, and some service departments.  

Aim

The aim for nursing graduates is to possess the educational and technical skills to perform the following tasks:
– Greeting and receiving patients.
– Measuring vital signs.
– Distributing medications in the wards.
– Working in the statistical division.
The duration of the study is two academic years, with an additional practical summer training period of two months in hospitals under the Department of Health. During this practical training, students gain hands-on experience in their future nursing roles. Afterward, students receive a Technical Diploma in Nursing
