The Department of Vision Screening Techniques is one of the important departments in the field of medical technical education, as it provides competent and qualified technical personnel in the precise specializations in the field of vision examination to meet the country’s need in accordance with the requirements of economic and medical development, thereby meeting the needs of society and the labor market. Based on the directives of the presidency of the Northern Technical University, represented by the president of the esteemed university, to raise the scientific level and advance the identity of our university technically and academically by applying the content of modernity and responding to the requirements of the labor market through the creation of
rare and influential scientific departments that distinguish our university and qualify it to communicate with scientific developments, this study was presented on the creation Department of vision examination techniques in accordance with the conditions and standards for development.

Vision

Preparing a graduate capable of playing an effective and influential applied role in the medical health technical field, meeting the needs of society and the requirements of the labor market through his ability to work on medical and optical devices and take care of them in examining eyesight, determining the degree of vision, correcting strabismus, and prescribing medical glasses, lenses, contact lenses, and suggested ocular and optical alternatives.

The department’s program aims to graduate qualified personnel to examine and correct vision and manufacture medical glasses.
1 .The graduate will be able to examine and diagnose vision defects in patients .
2 .Graduating specialized staff to work in hospitals, vision examination centers, workshops, and public and private clinics .
3 .It can determine the degree of strabismus and strabismus.
4. Prescribing medical glasses, installing lenses on them, and repairing damaged glasses.
