The Department of nursing technologies at the Medical Technical Institute/Mosul holds an online scientific symposium entitled “historical and modern development in the nursing profession in the UK”

As part of the implementation of the strategy of the Ministry of higher education and scientific research aimed at benefiting from Iraqi academic competencies and expertise residing outside the country, the nursing techniques department at the Medical Technical Institute/Mosul held a scientific symposium entitled:

“The historical and modern development of the nursing profession in the UK”

Presented by Assistant Professor Dr. Nahed Abdul Razzaq Al – Jabri from the University of Lancashire-UK .

The seminar dealt with a brief historical presentation of the nursing profession from its early beginnings and its development through the ages, through the contributions of nursing pioneers in building the foundations of Modern Healthcare, up to the latest professional practices and advanced technologies currently used in Britain in the fields of Clinical Education, Nursing Management, and the use of artificial intelligence in nursing decision support.

The seminar aimed at enhancing students ‘and affiliates’ knowledge of global developments in the nursing profession, and highlighting the importance of Keeping Up with modern technologies in health care, which contributes to raising the efficiency of educational outputs and nursing cadres in Iraq.

The seminar concluded by stressing the importance of continuing scientific communication with Iraqi academics abroad, as it has a great impact on the transfer of international experiences and the development of the education and training environment in technical and medical institutions.
