Medical Technical Institute of Mosul is organizing a scientific symposium entitled: "Risks of Cholera Spread in the Community: Causes and Prevention Methods"

Under the patronage of the President of the Northern Technical University, Dr. Alyaa Abbas Al-Attar, and under the supervision of the Dean of the Medical Technical Institute of Mosul, Dr. Mohammed Fadhil Haddad.

The pharmacy techniques department organized a scientific symposium entitled “The Risks of Cholera Spread in the Community: Causes and Prevention Methods” presented by: Asst. Prof. Dr. Ebtisam Nathim Hazim.

The symposium includes:

Detailed Introduction to Cholera Bacteria, the symptoms of cholera, epidemiological Outbreaks of Cholera in Iraq and Cholera Prevention Methods.

Objectives:

  1. Assess the severity of infection with pathogenic bacteria.

  2. Recognize the accompanying symptoms in individuals with cholera.

  3. Understand the necessary measures to limit the spread of cholera.

  4. Learn about preventive measures to safeguard against cholera.

Recommendations:

raising awareness about basic health practices and ensuring compliance with them. These practices should be conveyed through awareness campaigns organized by the university. Key aspects of these recommendations include: personal hygiene; handwashing; safe drinking water and avoiding exposed and contaminated food.
