A scientific seminar at the Medical Technical Institute/Mosul entitled

“Reference article: from writing to publishing”
(Review Article: From Writing to Publication)

As part of the implementation of the strategy of the Ministry of higher education and scientific research aimed at benefiting from the Iraqi competencies residing abroad and transferring their expertise to inside Iraq, the Medical Technical Institute/Mosul organized an electronic scientific symposium at the Department of community health technologies entitled:

“Reference article: from writing to Publication” (Review Article: From Writing to Publication)

Presented by Dr. Farah Al – Kazemi from Lancaster University-UK, through video communication techniques (online), and in the presence of a number of teachers and students of the Department.

The seminar dealt with the scientific stages of preparing reference articles (Review Articles), starting from the selection of the topic and the analysis of scientific sources, through the skills of academic writing and methods of scientific arbitration, up to the steps of publication in international journals sober, with a review of the most prominent challenges facing researchers in this field.

The symposium witnessed a wide interaction from the attendees through discussions and interventions that enriched the topics presented and contributed to enhancing the practical understanding of the mechanisms of scientific publication among teachers and students.

For his part, the dean of the Medical Technical Institute/Mosul, assistant professor Dr. Mohammed Fadel Haddad, confirms that these seminars come within the Institute’s vision of scientific openness to international universities and the exchange of academic experiences, in line with modern developments in the fields of research and education.

The seminar concluded by thanking and appreciating Dr. Farah Al-Kazemi for her cooperation and outstanding contribution in supporting the scientific activities of the Institute, and her efforts in transferring academic knowledge to the university environment inside Iraq.
