The Central Committee of the chemical, biological and radiological safety and security division completes its tour of the laboratories of the Medical Technical Institute / Mosul

The dean of the Medical Technical Institute/Mosul, assistant professor Dr. Mohammed Fadel Hamid Haddad, received in his office this morning, Wednesday, 29/10/2025, the Central Committee of the chemical, biological and radiation safety and security division at the presidency of the northern Technical University, as part of its field tour aimed at following up the reality of safety and security procedures in scientific laboratories.

The visit included inspection of educational and scientific laboratories in all departments of the Institute, familiarization with the mechanisms of applying occupational safety standards, methods of safe handling of chemical, biological and radioactive materials, as well as reviewing the emergency plan and the laboratory waste management system in force at the Institute.

The committee praised the high level of organization and the actual application of safety instructions inside the laboratories, praising the efforts of the Institute’s management and the Occupational Safety Division in providing a safe educational environment and compliance with the approved biosecurity and occupational standards.

At the end of the visit, the Dean expressed his thanks and appreciation for the efforts of the Central Committee, stressing that the Medical Technical Institute/Mosul attaches special importance to the safety of students and associates, and continues to develop its infrastructure in line with the safety and security requirements in educational and medical institutions.
