Under the patronage of the president of the northern Technical University, professor Dr. Alia Abbas Al-Attar, and the supervision of the dean of the Medical Technical Institute / Mosul, assistant professor Dr. Mohammed Fadel Haddad, the psychological counseling and university guidance unit in cooperation with the Department of community health technologies organized an awareness course entitled

“The concept of human trafficking and its contemporary causes”

🎓 The course included:

Definition of human trafficking and its modern forms.

Review of the economic and social reasons that lead to its spread.

A statement of the psychological and social effects on the victims.

The role of educational and community institutions in combating this phenomenon.

1. Raising awareness about the dangers of human trafficking as one of the most serious human rights violations.

2. Enhancing the human and moral sense of students and the academic community.

3. Building a preventive culture based on knowledge and commitment to human values.

📝 Recommendations:

1. Activating continuous seminars and workshops to raise awareness towards this crime.

2. Cooperation with security and legal authorities to spread preventive culture.

3. Inclusion of the topic of human trafficking in educational activities in the university environment.

🌷 At the end of the session, the importance of the role of youth and academic institutions in addressing the phenomenon of human trafficking was emphasized, as it affects human dignity and the security of society.
