The department was established in the year 2024. The primary purpose of its establishment was to meet the growing demand for specialists in the field of vision care, enabling it to play an essential, effective, and influential role in the medical health technical field. It fulfills the needs of society and the requirements of the labor market through its graduates' ability to operate and maintain medical and optical equipment for vision screening, determining visual acuity, correcting strabismus, and prescribing medical glasses, contact lenses, and proposed ocular and optical prosthetics. Accordingly, the foundation began by preparing integrated plans to receive students, providing the best equipment for vision screening and training, and developing an integrated curriculum for the department. Duration of Study in the Department: Two years Language of Instruction: Arabic and English
