The vision

The community health department should be a leading and distinguished technical department in health technical education at the national and regional levels, contributing to the preparation of competent technical staff, supporting applied scientific research, and meeting the needs of society and the labor market, in accordance with the approved quality and academic accreditation standards.

 

The message 

The aim is to prepare cognitively and professionally qualified technical staff, capable of dealing with health and environmental challenges, and in line with the requirements of sustainable development and the labor market ethics of technical education by providing high-quality technical education that seeks to develop human knowledge and skills adapted to the changes occurring in the environment and society.  

 

objectives  
 
– Preparing specialized technical staff to work in the fields of Public Health, Occupational Safety, Health Inspection and control, and the implementation of primary health care programs.
– Contribute to supporting preventive and health awareness programs, especially related to transitional and non-transitional diseases, and responding to health emergencies.
– Applying national and international standards adopted in medical and Health Technical Education, in order to achieve the requirements of academic accreditation.
– Develop and update the curricula periodically, keeping pace with scientific and technical developments in the fields of Health and environmental work.
– Preparing a middle cadre who possesses the scientific competence and skills necessary to deal with modern technologies in the work environment.
– Providing an appropriate and supportive learning environment that achieves the targeted learning outcomes.
– Promote professional ethics, commitment to university values, self-esteem and the other.
– Support the principle of continuous education and lifelong learning for students and associates.
– Developing the capabilities of the teaching and technical staff through continuous training and keeping abreast of scientific developments.
– Closer cooperation with health and environmental institutions and related sectors; to link the outputs of education with the needs of society and the requirements of the labor market.
– Strengthening academic partnerships with the corresponding departments and colleges inside and outside Iraq.
– Encouraging students to participate in scientific and student activities; to develop leadership skills and teamwork.
– Contribute to improving the health and environmental reality of society through scientific, service and consulting activities
