Program Aim

The program aims to graduate qualified cadres to examine and correct vision, as well as manufacture medical eyeglasses.

Graduates will be qualified to:

• Examine and diagnose vision defects in patients.

• Work in hospitals, vision testing centers, optical workshops, and public or private clinics.

• Determine visual acuity degrees and diagnose strabismus (squint).

• Prescribe medical eyeglasses, fit lenses into frames, and repair damaged glasses.

• Inspect lenses, replace damaged glasses frames, and substitute faulty parts.

• Maintain, operate, and properly care for medical and optical equipment.
