Vision-Mission and Objective
Vision:
The demand for emergency medical technicians (EMT) continues to increase due to the rise in accidents and medical emergencies associated with changing lifestyles. An
emergency medical technician (paramedic) is a healthcare professional who
provides advanced emergency care to patients with serious injuries. Emergency
medical technicians are trained to respond quickly to individuals in critical condition and
provide pre-hospital admission. They possess strong skills in performing
certain life-saving procedures.
Mission:
Meeting the needs of healthcare institutions for specialized services provided by
technical, scientific, and practical personnel to handle emergency situations such as
traumatic injuries and critical medical conditions.
Objectives:
The department aims to graduate qualified emergency medical technicians capable of:
1- Performing life-saving procedures and maintaining the patient’s or casualty’s
safety until arrival at the hospital.
2- Assessing the accident site before handling the case and ensuring the safety of the
paramedic, the patient, and the public.
3- Carrying out relief activities and disseminating awareness messages to reduce
health and environmental risks to people.
4- Lifting and transporting patients correctly without aggravating injuries or causing
further harm.
5- Using modern medical devices to diagnose patient needs and monitor the
progression of their condition.
6- Operating wireless communication devices and responding to radio messages in
accordance with approved protocols.
