Technical Medical Institute of Mosul Launches Summer Field Training for First-Year Students
Under the patronage and guidance of the President of the Northern Technical University, Prof. Dr. Alia Abbas Al-Attar, and with the direct supervision of the Dean of the Technical Medical Institute of Mosul, Asst. Prof. Dr. Mohammed Fadhil Haddad, the mandatory summer field training program for first-year students for the academic year 2025-2026 has officially commenced across hospitals and healthcare centers in the Nineveh Governorate.
This initiative underscores the institute’s commitment to reinforcing clinical and practical learning. The program offers students a vital opportunity to acquire hands-on experience and fieldwork skills within real-world healthcare environments, bridging the gap between theoretical academic curricula and practical application to build highly qualified medical technical cadres.
The Dean emphasized the critical importance of strict adherence to all summer training regulations, maintaining high professional ethics, and demonstrating exceptional discipline. He urged students to maximize their learning from the diverse scientific and practical expertise available within the province’s medical institutions.
Dr. Haddad further explained that the student distribution across various hospitals and healthcare facilities followed a meticulous plan designated by the scientific departments in direct coordination with competent health authorities. This ensures an optimal training environment tailored to developing student capabilities across all medical specialties.
The intensive summer program aims to sharpen students’ professional skills, familiarize them with operational clinical workflows, and proactively prepare them to enter the healthcare labor market upon graduation with confidence and high competence.
